The Area
We are tucked in the tranquil countryside of the South Hams and provides a relaxed, unspoiled environment with a magnificent coastline, just a short walk away on Bolberry Down. This makes an ideal base for touring the West Country, for a quiet sea-side break, or to simply enjoying the many rural and sporting activities and family attractions this wonderful area has to offer.
Bolberry Downs
Within a 5 minute drive is Bolberry Downs. 100 acres of level, open cliff-top land. A variety of paths to discover, most with breath-taking coastal views. A dog walking paradise. Plenty of parking including disabled with some paths to accommodate buggies and wheelchairs. Also a friendly Inn welcoming all, with a great children's outside play area.
Hope Cove
A short drive down through the valley is this delightful old fishing village with its picturesque square of quaint thatched cottages. Hope Cove has safe sandy beaches where the family can relax with boating and fishing for the more energetic. The easy launching makes it ideal for the diving enthusiasts who love to explore the numerous wrecks scattered along the coastline between Burgh Island and Salcombe. There is a friendly Inn serving good bar food, with a restaurant/cafe, a beach shop, village store and post office.
